Miss Union County Pageant

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2009

Candidates interested in competing in the pageant should complete and return the Registration Form with the required Written Essay, "What My Fair Means to My Community," (300 words or less) by July 1. Rehearsal will be held one week prior to the pageant.

Contestant Requirements:

  1. Must be a resident of Union County.
  2. Must be between the ages of 16 and 20 as of June 1, 2009.
  3. Must have never been and is not currently a local fair queen winner.
  4. As of July 1, 2009, must not hold any other title for any other commodity, group or pageant.
  5. Must have a parent or guardian’s consent to enter the local fair pageant (if under age 18).
  6. Must be single, have never married, have not been pregnant nor given birth to a child.
  7. Must be of good moral character.
  8. Must maintain a 2.5 grade point average or better.
  9. Must be able to meet all time requirements (Queen Duties) set forth by the Union County West End Fair Association.

Judging Criteria:

Written Essay  (15 Points)

Personal Interview  (35 Points)

Evening Gown /  Introduction  (20 Points)

Speech Presentation  (30 Points)
